I come to real estate with a background in education. For the first half of my career I was a coach, professor, and college athletics director, most recently at Sweet Briar College. I am originally from the Midwest, and I have called Central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley home for the past 24 years. I love it here!
Growing up, my father was a local business owner and my mother was in marketing and promotions. I got to appreciate the value of getting to know customers and building relationships by helping my parents in their store. I also helped my parents with their investment properties growing up, and that started my love of real estate.
With years of experience helping families through the process of investing in college education, I know what it’s like when you make life’s big investments. Buying a home is a major investment, and I am here to help you every step of the way! As a member of your team, you will have a tenacious and persistent competitor on your side. Plus, I love negotiating!
Buying or selling your first home can be a scary decision. I take the scary part out of the process. I love helping and sometimes educating buyers and sellers to find the perfect fit. As I believe most educators will tell you, the true job satisfaction comes from the relationships you build working with students and families. I find the same is the same for me in real estate. My approach to helping you find that perfect home or sell your home is about building relationships and understanding your needs and goals.

I come to Avenue Realty after leading marketing and customer service teams for my entire career. If I had to sum up my past work in one sentence it would be this: I have been focused creating relationships with customers that keep them engaged and coming back. She is passionate not only about helping you buy or sell your home, but becoming your friend in the process. In 2010, Jen started a fun side job with her mom in direct sales. It was there, she learned that taking care of the customer and providing amazing follow-up was key to building relationships. So she went on to create her company called The Client Angel. Used by entrepreneurs all over the world to help them with creating that amazing customer experience.
She does the same for her clients. Once you meet her, you know will know instantly why you want her to help you in your home buying or selling process. She is dedicated to getting to know you on a personal level so she can use that to help you buy or sell your home and have an amazing experience doing so.
Jen is married to a retired marine and so Homes for Heros is near and dear to her heart. Heroes include firefighters, law enforcement, military (active, reserves and veterans), healthcare workers, EMS and teachers. Homes for Heros is a program Jen promotes to help heros to save money when buying, selling or refinancing a home.
She is committed to giving back, serving and saying thank you to local community heroes because they do so much to make our great community what it is today. They tirelessly serve and sacrifice for us so she feels it’s the right thing to do, and she is excited to be able to give back and say Thank You in such a meaningful and positive way.
When Jen is not helping her clients, you can find her on a ball field somewhere with her kids and husband!
